Finding Housing in Japan Using Mini Mini

When I first came to Japan with Interac, they took care of everything for me in terms of housing. They knew my schools (and therefore the general location), so I simply had to tell them what size apartment I wanted and they took care of the searching for me. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to specify the price, but they found a 1LDK for 63,000 a month, which was fine by me.

Hello everyone!

I know I'm about 2 weeks too late, but I felt it would be bad luck not to post some sort of New Year's greeting. (Especially being in Japan, where it has a huge cultural significance!)

My resolutions include updating more often--I have a bunch of posts in queue that just need pictures added to them. Unfortunately, my Lightroom program isn't working properly and I can't figure out how to import images anymore! When I have time to troubleshoot that, I will... For now, the pictures just won't have watermarks I guess. (Or does anyone know an easy way to batch add watermarks to images?)

My other resolution is to make more vlogs! I know I've been slacking in that category, but I haven't had any real inspiration in a while. But with a new year comes a new outlook, and I'm hoping that posting more will spark the same feelings that it used to!

So, I leave you with a Happy New Year! And the goals I hope to get accomplished in 2017:

• Go to the Sapporo Snow Festival
• Climb Mt. Fuji
• Travel to two new countries
• Go to Okinawa

My Japan Bucket List

I think it's so important for everyone to have a bucket list of some kind. For me, it really inspires me and keeps me focused on my life outside of work. Sometimes, I get so caught up in what I do that I forget to have fun. I try to always do something every weekend, whether it's just exploring more of the city I live in, or the station I live by, because I know I'm never going to have this opportunity again. As cheesy as it sounds, I'm trying really hard not to take any part of my time in Japan for granted.

And that's where my Japan bucket list comes in. A lot of these things aren't necessarily activities I can fit into one weekend, but rather require a three-day weekend at minimum, but it's always here to remind me to always keep exploring. I try to update this list as much as I can whenever I see something new and cool that sounds interesting. If anyone has any other suggestions, let me know and I'll check it out!

My Road to Japan

I'm trying to catch up on my pre-work escapades, so these posts are going to be a bit behind where I actually am. I'm hoping that that problem will be fixed soon enough, though! So, anyway, I thought I'd cover my trip from America to Japan!
